Derek Smokin Jones has been moving crowds for over a decade — from underground warehouse raves to main stages across the country. Known for his soulful, grown and sexy playing style and music productions rooted in R&B, Gospel, and Afro House, he has earned the title: The King of Grown and Sexy Soulful House Music.

Born and raised in Chicago, Derek grew up surrounded by the city's legendary house music scene. He started DJing at 16, playing house parties and small clubs before earning residencies at some of the city's most respected venues. His sound is rooted in deep house and electronic music, but it's his energy behind the decks that keeps people coming back.

As a producer, Derek has released original tracks and EPs that have found their way into DJ sets worldwide. His productions blend classic Chicago house sensibilities with modern electronic textures — always built for the dance floor, always built to last.

Today, Derek tours nationally, runs his own music label, and continues to push the sound forward. Whether he's headlining a festival or closing out a late-night club set, the mission is always the same: make the room move.
